Retail Associate (Angry Orchard Cidery)

We are hiring a full-time, seasonal Retail Associate at the Angry Orchard Cidery in Walden, NY.

The Retail Associate is responsible for the day-to-day floor operations of the Angry Orchard Cidery retail shop. They are responsible for ensuring sound retail operations and maintaining the highest-level retail experience to all guests. This person is expected to help drive and grow retail sales by helping create an exemplary retail experience.

What You'll Brew (Responsibilities):

Customer Service & Experience:

• Actively engage guests, answers their questions, and assists them in their shopping and general needs
• Acts as an Angry Orchard brand ambassador to all guests, relaying important information related to the Cidery, our products, and the Boston Beer Company as a whole.
• Delivers an unmatched retail experience by maintaining the highest level of customer service at all time
  

Retail Operations:

• Responsible for day-to-day general operations of the retail shop at the Angry Orchard Cidery, including operating POS machines, stocking merchandise, and maintaining visual merchandising standards
• Collaborates with Retail and Tap Room Assistant Manager to create engaging and effective merchandise displays that drive sales and brand awareness
• Processes merchandise shipments, including counting, folding, barcode stickering, size stickering and proper storage of all retail units, while communicating all units received to the Retail and Tap Room Assistant Manager
• Participates in all physical inventory counts, including monthly cycle counts and quarterly full inventory counts
• Partners with the Retail and Tap Room Assistant Manager and Cidery Marketing Specialist to create effective shop promotions during peak season
  

What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years in a fast-paced retail environment
• Ability to work overtime as needed, which may require 12 hour days, weekends, and holidays
• Retail operations and/or visual merchandising experience (preferred, not required)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
• Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
• While performing the duties of this role, it may be required to climb flights of stairs, work from heights or on elevated platforms
• Agile enough to step over, crouch or crawl under
• Established dexterity to:
  * Handle materials
  * Operate equipment
  * Interface with computer systems with precision
  * Ability to pour, pick up a glass, deliver beverages to customers
  * Ability to handle kitchen and service equipment
  

Level: 10

Pay: In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay rate for this role if hired is $16.50 per hour. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location.
