Admissions

The Admissions Office serves as the primary point of contact for prospective students and supports them through application and onboarding processes. Recruitment activities include campus visits, outreach events, and enrollment communications. Roles in Admissions involve recruitment outreach, application review, and coordination of enrollment communications.

Job Description

This remote position will be based within the recruiting territory. The desired candidate will reside in Florida, preferably in either Central or Southeast Florida.
This position will perform first year student recruitment activities in the Southeast portion of the United States as well as other areas as needed. This position will conduct significant recruiting and admissions functions, such as communicating with prospective students, attending college fairs, scheduling high school visits, and helping at special events.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Represent the university at various recruitment events.
  • Promote Missouri S&T to students, families, and high school contacts through in-person presentations and virtual events.
  • Advise and assist prospective students by explaining admissions requirements, scholarships and financial aid, academic programs, and campus life.
  • Travel within your assigned territory for recruitment, including evening and weekend travel.
  • Provide a prompt review of admission applications for students within assigned territory.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective students and families, high school contacts, and campus and community partners.
  • Manage recruitment territory by utilizing data to plan travel, make admissions decisions, and communicate with students.
  • Coordinate special recruitment events on-campus and off-campus with various stakeholders (current students, staff and faculty, alumni volunteers) to promote the university.
  • Utilize computer database to update student and high school records and log communications.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in student recruitment, territory management, marketing, or other highly interactive promotional fields.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with PeopleSoft and Slate, high comfort level with technology and the ability to analyze and present data effectively.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and proven ability to work autonomously within a collaborative remote team setting.
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $19.00-$23.50 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
