| Brief Summary of Work for this Position |
The Director of Player Personnel for Men's Basketball is essential to support the evolving demands of a competitive Division I athletics program by providing dedicated leadership in recruiting operations, roster management, and student-athlete experience. This role allows coaching staffs to focus more fully on development and competition while ensuring that recruiting pipelines are strategically managed, evaluated, and aligned with program needs and institutional priorities. A Director of Player Personnel also enhances compliance oversight by coordinating closely with compliance, academic support, and business operations to maintain adherence to
NCAA, conference, and university policies throughout the recruiting and onboarding process. Furthermore, the position strengthens communication and organization across the program by streamlining processes related to visits, evaluations, and player retention, ultimately contributing to sustained program success both on and off the field.
- Oversee and assist with the day-to-day personal matters of Student-Athletes.
- Assist the Director of Operations with planning weekly and monthly Student-Athlete practices, class and study hall schedules.
- Serves as the basketball liaison with Facility Managers and Women's Basketball program for scheduling purposes.
- Assist the Director of Operations and Compliance Office with all the program needs.
- Oversee ticket allocation for Student-Athletes.
- Serve as the admissions contact for incoming Student-Athletes.
- Assist with all on-campus recruiting activities.
- Serve as the Academic Mentor for the Men's Basketball Student-Athletes.
- Assist in parent relations and communications.
- Direct and support basketball staff with community service activities.
- Assist the Director of Operations with all camp responsibilities.
- Liaison with Development Office and Media Relations Office for personnel requests.
- Assist with all special events including basketball alumni relations.
- Arrange training table meals with the Athletic Trainer, Strength Coach, and Dietitian.
- Serve as basketball liaison with Equipment Manager and Apparel Provider.

* High school diploma or equivalency
* Must be highly dependable, flexible, and available to work evenings and weekends
* Possess excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public
* Strong problem solving skills
* Ability to stand for extended periods of time both indoors and outdoors
* Work effectively as a team member
* Previous customer service experience preferred |
