SSAI is seeking a Director of Business Development to develop strategies for establishing partnerships and business relationships to market company's expertise. We are looking for a proven, high-performing sales professional who can identify, pursue, and win new opportunities, expand market presence, and directly contribute to revenue growth. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute business development and sales strategies.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities, contracts, and partnerships.
- Drive the full capture lifecycle, from opportunity identification through proposal and award.
- Develop and implement win strategies for competitive procurements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align technical capabilities with customer needs.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Represent SSAI at industry events, conferences, and client meeting.
- Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, and strategic allies to develop and implement business strategies, plans, and operating models.
- Analyze the government marketplace to maintain current knowledge of client initiatives, programs, priorities, and funding opportunities.
- Drive growth with new and existing customers by creating, developing, and implementing business solutions.
- Build, manage, and maintain relationships with prospects, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Assess market opportunities and estimate project demand through market research and analysis of industry and consumer trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) and a minimum of 12 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated success in winning new business and growing revenue.
- Deep understanding of federal contracting and acquisition processes.
- Established network within the DoD and defense community.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently with a results-driven, hunter mentality.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with federal contract vehicles and procurement strategies.
- Familiarity with SSAI's core domains: science, engineering, and technology services.
- Active security clearance (preferred but not required).
