* Job Title: Supervisor of Product Management * Grade: Exempt 59 * Job Code: 129366 JOB SUMMARY
Partners with Business Leaders to analyze, identify, understand the priorities, capture business demands, and translate into meaning actions for the Product delivery team. Advises and recommends relevant products, solutions, changes in procedures, and reviews progress and evaluates results. Fosters appreciation and collaboration amongst business leaders of the importance of Information Technology teams in the achievement of their goals, and adhering to company policies, standards and practices. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
* Supervises daily activities of team. Sets priorities to accomplish task or process completion. Decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan. Typically does not perform same work as subordinates. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Work with the project manager to define, track, and communicate key performance indicators as required to track business results. * All other duties as assigned. * Work with business sponsors/stakeholders and product owners to define, lead, and manage the product line life cycle (compilation of many products). * Works with business leadership to proactively identify opportunities for new or expanded product/service alternatives, functionality enhancements, and/or other modifications to relevant products. * Understand the budget parameters, strategic themes to guide/manage their strategic direction of the solution. * Translate Epics into Features, manages and prioritizes the flow of work and prioritizes program backlog. * Work directly with team to clarify requirements and make commitments for a given phase, iteration, or sprint. * Understands customer needs, defines Features, determines success criteria (performance measurement), and validate solutions * Identification of product issues and facilitation of the development of required corrective actions including the prioritization, delegation and follow-up audit of corrective actions requiring implementation. * Develop an in- depth knowledge of market and competitor trends to ensure that the business unit is consistently positioned for success. * Review corporate and business unit strategies, evaluate target markets and segments, develop value propositions and recommend account and segment plans. * Manage existing product changes by recommending enhancements, obtaining approval (if needed), communication of the changes and implementing the approved changes. * Continuously drive forward progress: You are excellent at creating buy-in for your product vision and decisions. * Bridge communication gaps between groups that communicate differently and might have varying goals and deadlines. * Define and document the product vision and 2-5-year product roadmap in consultation with the Business partner(s). * Keeps stakeholders aligned and you proactively tackle blockers. When the path forward is ambiguous, you drive toward clarity while exercising concrete judgement. * Supervises direct reports within the product line that supply both direct support & deliverables to projects, products and indirect support through aligning and guiding external resources. * Assisting in tool and template development for product management community of practice. * Applies deep understanding of business processes, goals, and problems and advocates for business needs across the product lines. REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's Degree in MIS or other related fields, And 6 years' experience in portfolio management, IT solution design and delivery capacities. Or * High School Diploma/GED, And 8 years' experience in portfolio management, IT solution design and delivery capacities. WORKING CONDITIONS
