We are searching for a 2D AutoCAD Drafter who seeks opportunities to advance their career through collaboration and company-sponsored training. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, team-focused, and humble.

Work would include providing AutoCAD drafting support for solid waste and environmental projects conducted for private and municipal clients. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional skilled in 2D drafting construction details, plan figures, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, and working within standardized templates. With experience and company-sponsored training, your role will grow into horizontal and vertical construction, generation of plan and profile views, cross-sections, as well as executing intricate grading and cut/fill balancing. Collaborating closely with our engineers, you will incorporate mark-ups, prepare figures, and develop parts permit and construction documentation with oversight from Engineers and 3D Drafting Designers. You will work with a team supporting you to independently complete tasks and projects. The position will report to and sit in the Tampa office.

Performs drafting, layout work, and straightforward calculations/measurements relative to design/construction drawings.
• Understand drawing review process. Understands the use of and importance of drafting standards, layers, line types, hatches, and pen tables.
• Work from existing maps or sketches to prepare plan set drawings such as site plans, existing conditions plans, details, corrections to drawings, etc.
• Must be able to communicate professionally using Outlook email, virtual meeting applications, and in person. Competent use of Microsoft Word and basic understanding of Excel.
• Directly communicate issues and foreseeable problems to Project Managers quickly.

• Associate degree or vocational school training in drafting is preferred.
• Competent use and knowledge of AutoCAD2023 or newer with school or work experience is required.
• The desire and ability to grow your role into a career that includes Civil 3D, landfill design, and environmental services through SCS provided training is required.
• The candidate must be local to Tampa, self-motivated, reliable, and possess good communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.
