POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for assisting machine operators in achieving consistent performance against targets, through ensuring the smooth flow of material and work. Individuals in this role are responsible for maintaining quality and speed performance within the scope of their role, while minimizing scrap, in addition to working to ensure the accuracy of all manufacturing data and/or documentation.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Material Handler 1

• Follows the requirements of the assigned schedule to meet Material Handler demand.
• Sets up orders based upon established specifications.
• Associates can effectively and safely operate an order picker, electric pallet jack, manual jack and reach truck.
• Associate understands how to interpret Raw material labels, storage unit labels.
• Associate can perform ZLETP_MULTIPLE/ZPUTAWAY
• Stages boxes to assemble orders for production.
• Adjust order forms to reflect the status of production orders.
• Moves material in and out of stocking locations with scanner.
• Completes any required paperwork. *
• Perform the cycle counts as required.
• Wrapping Pallets for all customers. Dock Audit & Sign off.
• Associates can effectively consolidate raw material inventory in SAP using ZLETP_Multiple/ZPUTAWAY to maintain inventory accuracy and organization of goods.
• Associate understands the green tag process required for all raw materials that require inspection prior to release.
• Cleans area and any assigned equipment.
• Notifies the Supervisor of any problems.
• Completes projects and tasks assigned.
• Ensures proper inspection of quality of goods.
• Advises superior on issues regarding safety.
• Ensures the compliance of procedures to all company policies.
• Any other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisor or other higher-level managers.
• Must maintain regular and reliable attendance and be in good standing with the company, adhering to all policies and performance expectations.

* El asociado puede operar de manera eficaz y segura un recogedor de pedidos, transpaleta electrica, transpaleta manual y montacargas de alcance.
* El asociado entiende como interpretar etiquetas de materia prima y etiquetas de unidades de almacenamiento.
* El asociado puede realizar ZLETP_MULTIPLE/ZPUTAWAY.
* Coloca cajas para ensamblar pedidos de produccion.
* Ajusta los formularios de pedido para reflejar el estado de las ordenes de produccion.
* Mueve material dentro y fuera de las ubicaciones de almacenamiento utilizando el escaner.
* Completa cualquier papeleo requerido.
* Realiza los conteos ciclicos segun se requiera.
* Envuelve palets para todos los clientes. Auditoria de muelle y firma.
* El asociado puede consolidar eficazmente el inventario de materia prima en SAP utilizando ZLETP_Multiple/ZPUTAWAY para mantener la precision del inventario y la organizacion de los bienes.
* El asociado entiende el proceso de etiqueta verde requerido para todas las materias primas que requieren inspeccion antes de su liberacion.
* Limpia el area y cualquier equipo asignado.
* Notifica al Supervisor sobre cualquier problema.
* Completa proyectos y tareas asignadas.
* Garantiza la inspeccion adecuada de la calidad de los bienes.
* Informa al superior sobre cuestiones relacionadas con la seguridad.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma, GED and/or equivalent experience
• Prior manufacturing experience, preferably within a regulated goods industry such as healthcare or food and beverage production.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with basic computer skills
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math at an 8th grade level.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to assess visual differences between products, in color, size, pattern, etc.
• Ability to lift, up to 60 lbs.
• Willingness to embrace and embody the core values of Milliken

CALIFICACIONES MINIMAS
* Diploma de escuela secundaria, GED y/o experiencia equivalente
* Experiencia previa en manufactura, preferiblemente dentro de una industria regulada como atencion medica o produccion de alimentos y bebidas.
* Capacidad para comunicarse de manera clara y efectiva tanto verbal como por escrito.
* Familiaridad con habilidades basicas de computacion.
* Capacidad para leer, escribir y realizar operaciones matematicas basicas a nivel de octavo grado.
* Capacidad para caminar y permanecer de pie por periodos prolongados.
* Capacidad para evaluar diferencias visuales entre productos, en color, tamano, patron, etc.
* Capacidad para levantar hasta 60 libras (aprox. 27 kg).

WORK ENVIRONMENT/SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION

This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position is a safety-sensitive position and regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud. Temperatures can vary depending upon the time of year and outside impacts.

Pay Transparency:

The hourly base rate range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00. In addition to this, there is a $1.00 added into the base rate range for the shift differential; the exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and budget.
