Customer Service Representative

Are you a customer-focused professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Penn United Technologies, Inc. is seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative to serve as the primary connection between our customers and our internal manufacturing and quality teams.

In this role, you'll help customers understand the capabilities Penn United offers while ensuring exceptional service throughout the order process. If you have prior customer service experience in a manufacturing environment and want to work where your contributions matter and success is shared, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do:



  • Process customer orders and order-related documentation, including shipping and invoicing records
  • Expedite orders and respond promptly to customer requests
  • Conduct contract reviews and maintain accurate customer and part records
  • Monitor assigned customer accounts including open orders, inventory levels, and backlogs
  • Respond professionally and promptly to company emails and voice messages
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular and frequent communication
  • Assist with special projects and campaigns
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns and coordinate with Quality and Management when necessary
  • Exercise sound judgment and make decisions that support both customer satisfaction and company objectives
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure excellent service and successful outcomes

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

Qualified candidates should possess:



  • 5+ years of customer service and/or administrative experience in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong business writing and communication skills, including grammar, vocabulary, and professional correspondence
  • Solid mathematical and analytical abilities
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (training may be provided for qualified candidates)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • A service-oriented mindset with a collaborative, team-focused approach
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team efforts
  • Sound decision-making skills and the confidence to take well-reasoned, professional risks when appropriate
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
