CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager I to join our Environmental Team in Albany, NY on a part-time as needed basis. In this role, you'll own project outcomes from start to finish, collaborate with technical specialists across disciplines, and play a critical role in guiding projects through regulatory pathways while delivering practical, high-quality solutions to clients.



What You'll Do:

    Manage environmental projects from initial investigation through design, permitting, and implementation, delivering practical and sustainable solutions
  • Oversee project delivery including scope, budget, schedule, and client coordination across public and private sector projects
  • Coordinate contracts, documentation, and collaboration with clients, regulators, and subcontractors
  • Drive project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly progress reviews
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans while ensuring regulatory compliance and QA/QC standards
  • Communicate project status, technical findings, and recommendations clearly to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
  • Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required; minimum of 2 years of project management experience required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Proven ability to manage scope, budget and schedule of technical tasks
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Strong leadership, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$45.00 - $50.00

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
