PennAero is hiring a Quality Engineer at our Allfast Fastening Systems location in City of Industry, CA. Allfast Fastening Systems is a leading global manufacturer of solid and blind rivets, blind bolts, temporary fasteners, and installation tools for the aerospace industry. JOB SUMMARY:
Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of
processes, materials and products. Plans and conducts analysis,
inspection, design, and/or integration to assure the quality of products.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
Develops, manages, implements, monitors and maintains the company's system of
quality in accordance with governing quality standards and customer quality
system requirements
Develops, maintains, and implements internal quality assurance policies and
procedures in accordance with ISO9000/AS9100 and other requirements imposed by
the customers and governmental agencies.
Assists in maintaining the company wide Quality System Program. Ensures
the program is designed to achieve planned results.
Performs quality engineering reviews of blueprint drawings and inspection
documents for compliance with stated requirements.
Conducts and maintains First Article Inspection Reports.
Conducts internal and vendor audits to ensure compliance with documented
procedure.
Monitors quality objectives and prepares reports for review.
Generates and follows up corrective actions as required. Monitors
delinquent corrective actions and makes follow-up with appropriate party as
required.
Participates in customer complaint resolution.
Conducts quality training as required.
Completes Customer mail audits as required.
Develops plan and implementation of NADCAP for various organizational
functions.
Interfaces with customer quality representatives in performing quality audits
to maintain their approval.
Completes Customer Surveys as required.
Establishes the internal and vendor audits to assure adherence to the committed
quality policies and procedures.
Monitors Quality System objectives and prepares reports for management review
and action.
This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the City of
Industry, CA location.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree
Three (3) years minimum related quality assurance experience in a manufacturing
environment
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals,
professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from
employees and customers/vendors.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms,
quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical
operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test
reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques,
sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid
conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical
instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and
concrete variables.
Compensation
In compliance with all states and cities requiring
transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $75,000- $90,000.
Compensation can vary depending on several factors,
including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and
geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like
equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
