Reports To: SVP Audit & Compliance Officer

The Position: Junior Auditor:

As a team member of FSB, this position is expected to lead by example, embody these values, and foster a culture of good character, excellence, collaboration, and performance - ensuring our people, clients, and community experience the FSBU difference every day. You are also expected to always foster and promote the Institution's image and brand.

The role of the Junior Auditor includes conducting comprehensive internal audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as regulatory standards. The Junior Auditor will assist the Audit/Compliance Officer to communicate, develop, and execute internal audits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist and perform internal audits/reviews in certain areas of the bank
  • Complete audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings
  • Communicate audit findings by preparing final reports
  • Create matrices for observations and/or findings to track completion of remediation
  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls
  • Assist with Regulatory Audits and Exams
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred and/or 2-4 years of audit experience.
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills, with the ability to interpret financial data accurately
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and electronic workpapers.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to work well with all levels of the organization.
  • Able to work independently and be able to grasp new concepts quickly, troubleshoot problems, multi-task and prioritize projects.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
