How You'll Make an Impact

The Treasurer, Treasury Technology role has a significant focus as the technology and automation, owns treasury strategy, liquidity management, and financial risk management while designing, building, and governing automation across treasury, planning, cash forecasting, reconciliation, and reporting. This role balances traditional treasury stewardship and financial strategy with process transformation, data and analytics, and technology leadership to improve cash visibility, forecasting accuracy, internal controls, and operating efficiency.

What You'll Be Doing



  1. Strategic Financial Reporting and Treasury Leadership:Develop and deliver meaningful, insightful financial and treasury reporting that supports strategic decision-making. Advise the Chief Financial Officer on liquidity, investments, and risk while helping optimize balance sheet positioning and capital allocation.
  2. Technology and Automation Strategy and Delivery:Define and execute a treasury technology and automation roadmap, including workflow automation, forecasting tools, reporting enhancements, and process redesign aligned to strategic objectives and value creation. Lead vendor selection, proof of concept design, implementation, and scaling of automation technologies and treasury systems.
  3. Financial Planning, Forecasting, and Analytics:Lead financial planning and analysis activities, including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, scenario planning, and performance analysis. Design or oversee data models and analytics that improve cash forecasting, same-day cash visibility, and financial decision support.
  4. Asset-Liability Management (ALM):Oversee ALM activities using Net Economic Value (NEV) and Net Interest Income (NII) modeling tools to assess interest rate risk and liquidity exposure. Serve as a key member of the ALCO, facilitating meetings, performing scenario analyses, and preparing regular reports.
  5. Artificial Intelligence, Model, and Process Governance:Establish governance for automated and analytics-driven solutions, including validation, explainability, audit trails, risk alignment, approval workflows, access controls, monitoring, and incident response procedures to support safe and compliant use.
  6. Investment Portfolio Management and Liquidity:Manage the institution's investment portfolio, including transaction execution, monitoring, and strategy development. Analyze investment opportunities, provide buy/sell recommendations, and oversee both daily and long-term liquidity and cash management activities.
  7. Payments, Reconciliation, and Control Enhancement:Improve and automate processes related to reconciliation, exception handling, and financial controls to reduce manual touchpoints, strengthen auditability, and accelerate issue resolution while supporting fraud and anomaly detection capabilities.
  8. Financial Analysis, Compliance, and Accounting Support:Conduct financial analyses to support accounting practices and assess business performance. Partner with the Controller to ensure compliance with GAAP, maintain audit readiness, uphold a strong internal control framework, and support regulatory reporting accuracy.
  9. Cross-Functional Project Leadership and Change Management:Lead cross-functional initiatives and change management efforts aimed at improving financial systems, treasury operations, and automation capabilities. Serve as a bridge between finance, information technology, vendors, and business units to deliver secure, auditable solutions aligned with business objectives.
  10. Team Leadership and Development:Manage, coach, and develop team members to build leadership capabilities, data literacy, and proficiency with new tools and workflows. Handle performance management, succession planning, and support strong collaboration and documentation practices.
  11. Policy, Procedure, and Risk Governance:Maintain and update Finance department policies, procedures, and governance documentation to reflect current practices, technology changes, and regulatory expectations. Support broader risk governance activities, including issue management, risk assessments, and enterprise risk management coordination.
  12. Professional Communication, Industry Awareness, and Compliance:Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external partners, executive management, and the Board. Stay current with industry, regulatory, and technology developments, and ensure compliance with internal policies, company procedures, and applicable banking or credit union regulations.
  13. Other Duties:Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support department and organizational goals.


What You Bring to the Team



  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or post-graduate degree is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 7 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, banking operations, or a related finance role with increasing levels of responsibility. Credit union or banking experience is strongly preferred.
  3. Demonstrated experience implementing automation, workflow orchestration, process redesign, or related technology solutions within finance, treasury, data, or analytics environments.
  4. Strong knowledge of treasury management, liquidity, financial planning and analysis, accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory expectations.
  5. Technical fluency with data, reporting, or systems integration concepts; experience with treasury platforms, forecasting tools, APIs, SQL, Python, or similar capabilities is a plus.
  6. Experience with model governance, compliance, internal audit, or risk management practices, including validation, monitoring, and documentation for financial models or automated processes.
  7. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
  8. Results driven, service oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a distributed team environment while managing multiple priorities and projects.
  9. Trustworthy with the ability to maintain the highest level of integrity and sound judgment.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with NetSuite, Workday Adaptive Planning, treasury management systems, or related financial platforms is a plus.

Compensation & Rewards

Compensation for this role is $180,000 - $280,000 per year with the potential for discretionary incentive compensation based on both company and individual performance.
