We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manufacturing Engineering Section Manager to lead certain specific disciplines of our photomask manufacturing engineering team. This role involves overseeing both equipment maintenance and process engineering to ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety in our photomask production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, managing technical projects, and fostering a culture of innovation within our manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Team Leadership & Management:


    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers, equipment engineers, technicians, and vendor support staff.
    • Coordinate with HR for staffing needs, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.


  • Equipment Maintenance:


    • Oversee all aspects of equipment maintenance, including preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
    • Ensure all equipment is maintained to specifications, achieving optimal uptime and reliability.
    • Implement and manage a comprehensive maintenance database to track equipment performance and maintenance history.


  • Process Engineering:


    • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for photomask production.
    • Lead process improvement initiatives using methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement techniques.
    • Coordinate with technical development team to integrate new processes or technologies into manufacturing.


  • Quality Assurance:


    • Maintain high-quality standards through rigorous process control measures.
    • Work closely with Quality team to ensure all products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.


  • Project Management:


    • Manage capital projects related to equipment upgrades or new installations.
    • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.


  • Safety & Compliance:


    • Ensure all operations adhere to safety standards and environmental regulations.
    • Support a safety culture by prioritizing compliance to safety protocols and actively working to reduce workplace hazards.


  • Budget Management:


    • Develop and manage the section's budget, focusing on cost control without compromising on quality or safety.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:


    • Work with other department managers to align manufacturing strategies with company goals.
    • Liaise with suppliers for equipment parts, services, and new technology solutions.



Qualifications:



  • Education: Recommended: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience:


    • Minimum of 8 years in semiconductor manufacturing or related in a cleanroom environment with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
    • Proven experience in the photomask or semiconductor industry is highly desirable.


  • Technical Skills:


    • Deep understanding of photomask manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
    • Proficiency in CAD software, statistical process control (SPC), and manufacturing execution systems (MES).


  • Leadership & Soft Skills:


    • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
    • Excellent demonstrated use of structured problem-solving skills and capability in managing complex projects.
    • Effective communication skills for cross-departmental and global interactions
