We are seeking a National Security Geospatial Sales Representative in preferably in the Washington DC area.


A day in the life of a Geospatial Sales Representative: As a Geospatial Sales Representative your typical day blends strategic client engagement, technical consultation, and collaborative solution development, all while advancing national security missions.

This job is for you if you have a strong geospatial background, are deeply familiar with the intricacies of the federal government acquisition process and thrive in an innovative and collaborative environment where achieving measurable results are central to your work. You value collaboration and teamwork, contributing constructively to cross-functional groups, while maintaining a strong attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture. You are self-driven and proactive, taking ownership of projects from start to finish, and comfortable adapting to change while learning new technologies as needed. Strong communication skills are a must, both written and verbal, to clearly articulate ideas, value propositions, and influence stakeholders and customers. This role will suit driven individuals who bring energy, are adept at levering governmentwide acquisition vehicles, comfortable with geospatial data specifications such as mapping standards and geospatial information system (GIS) tools, and a mindset that aligns with achieving both personal and organizational success.
What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have):

  • Minimum 5+ years of sales experience in geospatial technologies or related government /military domains.
  • Proven success selling to National Security or Department of Defense organization and System Integrators.
  • Understanding of national security geospatial requirements, satellite imagery, GIS tools , and analytics platforms.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; ability to interact with seni or leaders and technical personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Sciences, Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related t echnical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Existing network within national security, defense agencies, and integrators (SAIC, Leidos, Booz Allen, etc.), and geospatial or command and control programs.
  • Experience selling competitive geospatial products and solutions.
  • Experience coordinating with systems integrators and channel partners on joint go-tomarket efforts.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate autonomously within a fast-paced, growthfocused team.

Level of Security Clearance:
Active Top Secret or the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
Expected Travel:
Willingness to travel up to 40% for client engagement and trade shows
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily in a professional office and/or remote home office environment, subject to typical conditions
Salary Transparency:
Octave Federal provides compensation information in accordance with applicable multistate pay transparency laws. The projected annual salary range for this position is $104,700 to $150,000 (USD). Actual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as work location, education, experience, skills, organizational requirements, and contractspecific budget parameters. This range reflects what is typically offered for the role and represents only one component of Octave Federal's total compensation package, which may also include benefits and other forms of remuneration.
