Acts as the technical expert in matters pertaining to aircraft engineering and related subjects; oversees the creation of aircraft configuration control and maintenance data within the aircraft engineering department.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering or other quantitative discipline/equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Fifteen (15) years engineering experience in the engineering department of a FAR 121 air carrier or fifteen (15) years engineering experience in the engineering department of an aircraft manufacturer. Must have working knowledge of FAR parts 25, 43, and 121 and other sections as applicable. Must have experience in interpreting aircraft drawings and related specifications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong analytical, human relations, communications, and leadership skills.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering. Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements.

Minimum Experience

Two (2) years related aircraft engineering experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Good analytical, communication and technical writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering Engineering experience with commercial high-bypass turbo-fan engines
