As a Walk-In Care RN, you'll work alongside experienced providers and clinical staff to care for patients with a wide variety of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. From minor injuries and infections to seasonal illnesses and preventive care, you'll play an essential role in assessing patients, coordinating care, administering treatments, assisting with procedures, providing patient education, and ensuring every patient receives compassionate, efficient care.

This role offers the opportunity to use your strong assessment skills and clinical judgment in a dynamic outpatient setting where no two days are the same. You'll collaborate closely with providers to prioritize patient needs, perform telephone triage, administer medications and immunizations, assist with diagnostic testing and procedures, and educate patients on treatment plans, follow-up care, and healthy lifestyle practices.

This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience.

For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!
o Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
o Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Summary:
The Registered Nurse II - Ambulatory role uses professional nursing processes to assess the needs of patients and families calling or presenting for care in the physician office and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. BLS certification is not required for positions that are 100% remote.
  3. Experience: One year of RN experience required. Two years of relevant experience preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse I - Ambulatory Care role.

The pay range for this position is $34.35to $46.46 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
