Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced GCP Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and implement scalable, secure, and modular cloud platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will serve as the technical authority for enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure supporting multi-tenant SaaS solutions while leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices with Terraform and Google Fast Fabric.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in GCP enterprise architecture, cloud security, automation, governance, and platform engineering. They will lead architecture engagements, guide technical teams, and collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Design

• Design enterprise-grade cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Create scalable, highly available, and secure multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
• Develop greenfield cloud platforms from the ground up, emphasizing modularity, reusability, and operational efficiency.
• Establish reference architectures, design patterns, and implementation standards.
• Define cloud governance, landing zones, and organizational hierarchy strategies across complex multi-organization environments.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation using Terraform.
• Design and implement cloud foundations utilizing Google Fast Fabric.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules to standardize infrastructure deployment.
• Drive automation strategies for provisioning, configuration management, and compliance controls.

Security & Compliance

• Design solutions following security-by-design principles.
• Implement controls supporting HIPAA, PII, and other regulated workloads.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement cloud-native security services, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
• Optimize cloud environments to meet organizational governance and risk management requirements.

Platform Engineering & SaaS

• Design multi-organization and multi-environment GCP platforms supporting enterprise SaaS solutions.
• Implement scalable networking, IAM, logging, monitoring, and operational frameworks.
• Define platform strategies that enable rapid deployment while maintaining security and compliance.

Technical Leadership

• Lead architecture reviews and technical design workshops.
• Drive collaboration across engineering, security, operations, and leadership teams.
• Mentor engineers and technical leads.
• Guide implementation teams through architecture decisions and best practices.
• Present technical solutions to executive stakeholders.

Governance & Best Practices

• Establish cloud architecture standards and governance processes.
• Conduct architecture assessments and recommend modernization opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
• Promote best practices across infrastructure, security, automation, and platform operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or enterprise architecture.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Extensive experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Strong experience with Google Fast Fabric and GCP cloud foundations.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale multi-organization GCP environments.
• Experience architecting multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Deep understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience supporting HIPAA and PII-regulated workloads.
• Proven experience leading architecture engagements and driving stakeholder alignment.
• Experience mentoring engineers and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Engineer Certification.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer Certification.
• HashiCorp Terraform Associate Certification.
• Experience within healthcare, financial services, or public sector environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and platform engineering practices.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture, enterprise IAM, and cloud networking.
