The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, founded in 1946, is dedicated to training future veterinarians, providing services to animal owners and veterinarians, and conducting investigations to improve the health of animals as well as people. The college benefits pets and their owners, food-producing animals, and wildlife by offering the highest quality hospital and diagnostic laboratory services. Equipped with the most technologically advanced facilities located on a university campus, the college is dedicated to safeguarding public health by studying emerging infectious diseases that affect both animal and human health.

| Position Summary |
Coordinates projects involving major renovations and alterations to
VTH and
VMC campus buildings. Serves as liaison among physical plant shops, campus departments, and external contractors for coordinating and scheduling construction projects (excludes new construction). Collaborates with
VTH Facilities Manager and
CVM Director of Facilities Planning on new construction projects to determine project scope, timing, materials and tracks progress during the project. Visits work sites to determine necessary resources. Inspects projects to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. This position will also work with unit managers, directors and senior leadership to initiate and manage basic building projects to enhance the operations of the hospital and manage the
VTH fleet trucks and specialty vehicle equipment to maintain smooth vehicle operations. |

- Works with unit managers, directors and senior leadership to initiate and manage basic building projects to enhance the operations of the hospital.
- Communicates with VTH personnel to share information about projects and to seek input when appropriate.
- Coordinates with VTH personnel to optimize project logistics while minimizing disruption to the VTH functions.

| Duties/Responsibilities |
- Coordinates office/department moves/renovations with unit leadership
- Provides guidance to contractors, or conducts work completed that may involve general construction or maintenance relating to painting, building furniture, changing furniture locations.
- Manages VTH fleet vehicles and vet boxes including use, maintenance schedules, repairs, security for drug lock boxes, keys/fobs, investigations on incidents and claims filing.

| Duties/Responsibilities |
- Create and maintain records of completed projects, warrantees, contractor contracts, product uses and their success and limitations as solutions, vehicle maintenance and provide reports as needed by facilities leadership. Provide quarterly reports on projects for Hospital board.
- Collaborate with Facilities Manager and Safety Manager to ensure the safety of students, staff and clients throughout the VTH buildings and the Vet Education Center by ensuring appropriate facilities maintenance, safe management of facilities projects, and day-to-day oversight of contractors working on VTH projects.
