Temporary Human Resources Assistant
Gain real-world HR experience while supporting meaningful projects.
Omni Richmond Hotel is seeking a Temporary HR Assistant to assist with projects related to HR operations, records management, and compliance.
This is a temporary, project-based position. The projects are expected to last 1-2 weeks and offer flexible work that fits around school or other commitments.
Responsibilities
The Temporary HR Assistant will support the HR team with important administrative and organizational projects, including:
* Organizing and filing employee records
* Assisting with records retention and document archiving
* Preparing files for secure storage
* Organizing HR office files, supplies, and workspaces
* Supporting office clean-up and organization projects
* Performing data entry and maintaining accurate records
* Assisting with other HR administrative projects as needed
What You'll Learn
This position offers exposure to practical HR knowledge while working alongside experienced HR professionals. You'll gain exposure to:
* Human Resources records management
* Record retention requirements and best practices
* Employment law and HR compliance
* Employee relations concepts
* Confidentiality and handling sensitive employee information
* HR administrative processes
* Professional workplace organization and project management
What We're Looking For
* Prefer a student enrolled in a Human Resources, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related degree program
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Dependable, professional, and willing to learn
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
* Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Ability to work independently and complete assigned projects
* Ability to lift file boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
Position Type: Temporary, Project-Based
Project Duration: Typically, 1-2 weeks
Schedule: Hours are flexible Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am - 5pm.
