Your Job

As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for rapidly designing, building, and shipping applications using AI-assisted and AI-native development practices (''vibe coding'') across the enterprise. You will work closely with product, design, and platform teams to translate ideas into working software at speed, leveraging large language models, AI coding agents, and modern low-friction development workflows.

Your responsibilities include prototyping and productionizing AI-generated applications, integrating LLMs and AI tooling into internal products, and contributing to the continuous improvement of AI-assisted development standards, and responsible AI usage across engineering.

Our Team

The Platform Engineering Team is dedicated to hosting and managing a reliable, secure platform in the cloud to support all enterprise applications and users. We are accountable for delivering stable platform services by leveraging a diverse set of tools and providing comprehensive support across the organization.

As part of this team, we are increasingly building software ourselves - including internal products intended to replace third-party platforms to tools that address specific internal needs - using AI-assisted development (''vibe coding'') to move faster without compromising quality.

Committed to collaboration, we work as a cohesive global team to break down silos, harness individual and collective strengths, and drive innovation that creates a competitive advantage and exceptional value for our customers.

What You Will Do

  • Design, build, and ship internal and customer-facing applications using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate the development lifecycle.
  • Translate rough ideas, prompts, and requirements into functional prototypes and working applications through iterative, conversation-driven development.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and platform teams to rapidly prototype, test, and refine ideas, turning concepts into working solutions within tight timeframes.
  • Establish and follow best practices for AI-assisted development, including code review standards, prompt engineering guidelines, and responsible/ethical use of AI-generated code.
  • Partner with the Platform Engineering team to ensure applications you build are properly containerized, deployed, and integrated into existing CI/CD and GitOps workflows (Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD).
  • Continuously evaluate emerging AI development tools and frameworks and recommend adoption where they improve developer velocity or product quality.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and refine AI-generated code to ensure it meets quality, performance, security, and maintainability standards.
  • Contribute to internal documentation and playbooks to help other developers adopt AI-assisted development practices effectively.
  • Monitor and iterate on deployed applications based on user feedback, usage data, and observability metrics.
  • Support broader platform engineering tasks as needed, gaining exposure to infrastructure, deployment, and operational practices.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in software development (including internships, academic, or personal projects), with some hands-on exposure to AI coding assistants or agentic development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf).
  • Working knowledge of at least one modern programming language/stack (e.g., Python, Golang), with exposure to frontend and backend development.
  • Basic understanding of software engineering fundamentals (version control with Git, testing, code review) and a willingness to learn best practices when working with AI-generated code.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional product, design, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where requirements evolve through iteration.
  • Basic understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience building and shipping AI-generated or AI-assisted applications from concept to production.
  • Basic exposure to containerization concepts (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Basic exposure to GitOps or CI/CD workflows (e.g., ArgoCD, Helm).
  • Curiosity about monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Loki, Alloy, Mimir, Tempo.
  • Any exposure to Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).

For this role, we anticipate paying $100,000 - $120,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
