Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Principal M&S Requirements Systems Engineer responsible for leading the development and maintenance of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Modeling & Simulation (M&S) System Requirements Documents (SRDs)
Job Roles & Responsibilities
  • The candidate will be supporting MDA/SEQV (Systems Verification), which has been designated the MDA Modeling & Simulation (M&S) requirements manager
  • Develop and maintain IBM Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System Next Generation (DOORS NG) database used to develop, track, refine, coordinate, and publish MDA's Ground Test (GT) and Flight Test (FT) M&S SRDs
  • Develop and coordinate approval of Specification Change Notices (SCNs) which are used to coordinate updates to the SRDs.Lead the adjudication process for the review/comment of SCNs/SRDs
  • Must be familiar with and able to use MDAs Enterprise Tasks Management System (ETMS2)
  • Create and maintain the Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Systems Engineering Working Group (MSEWG) Teams channels, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), MSWEG Procedures Guide and all distribution lists
  • Establish and lead technical forums (MSEWG, Tiger Teams, etc.) to discuss the technical content and basis for system level M&S requirements and measures
  • Develop and brief SRD related content and plans to senior leaders within the government and other industry partners
  • Perform analysis of real-world requirements and translate them into M&S requirements
  • Assist with the Ground Test Facility Infrastructure (GTFI) project by developing briefing packages (weekly and monthly), coordinating meetings, and maintaining GTFI Teams Channel
  • Lead Missile Defense Agency effort to verify M&S System Requirements Document (SRD) requirements
  • Responsible for the coordination of MDA engineering and testing entities to conduct verification of system-level requirements allocated to each Ground Test.This body of evidence is imported into DOORS Next Generation to support systems engineering and MBSE initiatives
  • Assist in verifying the Truth Framework's ability to meet MDA requirements for GTs (as specified in the SRD), the effort also includes verification of the GTISS interface between the framework and Elements
  • No travel is anticipated with this position
Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree + 12 years relevant experience, or Bachelor's + 20 years exp is required.
  • Must possess a Top-Secret level security clearance (May consider Secret level)
  • Experience working with IBM DOORS Next Generation
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while reporting results as part of a team.
  • Candidate should be able to work in an open, collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written; ability to generate briefings, reports, and technical documentation, as required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days a week
Desired Qualifications
  • BS and/or MS in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science discipline
  • Prior experience working in MDA and modeling & simulation
