Summary:

The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for St. Austin Center and Pan De Vida, a multi-partner community resource campus housing more than 20 partner organizations. The Receptionist greets and directs guests, answers and routes phone calls, manages the bilingual sign-in kiosk, handles simple inquiries, and receives all deliveries. This is a part-time position.

The Receptionist is expected to behave in a manner consistent with the Core Values and must collaborate with other Associates and departments to ensure the overall mission is achieved.

Responsibilities:

1. Answer the telephone courteously, assisting callers with questions or transferring calls promptly. All calls are handled with professionalism, leaving no caller unattended.

2. Utilize the phone system and building directory to locate the appropriate staff member or partner organization on-site.

3. Greet visitors politely and direct them to the correct partner organization, program, or staff member according to policy.

4. Record and deliver messages when necessary; verifying caller's name, time of call, nature of business, phone number, and person called upon to insure accuracy.

5. Responsible for keeping a day-to-day account of the whereabouts of employees, partner staff, and visitors, including maintaining the building's bilingual sign-in kiosk.

6. Follow receptionist procedures for beginning and ending of shifts, including handoff notes between the AM and PM shift.

7. Receive deliveries and promptly notifies appropriate person.

8. Responsible for keeping front desk forms, brochures, and partner organization materials organized and stocked.

9. Maintain confidentiality of information at all times.

10. Perform other duties as may be assigned such as completing maintenance requests, copying, scheduling requests, updating calendars, forwarding mail, etc.

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Ability to read, write and speak fluent, intelligible English.

* Ability to speak Spanish required.

* Demonstrates speed and efficiency in dealing with multiple phone lines.

* Six (6) months of previous receptionist or front desk experience preferred.
