Position Title: TIG Welder / Fabricator
Wage: Up to $24.00/hour Shift: 1st Shift Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator for a potential-to-hire opportunity in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for performing TIG welding, metal fabrication, equipment repairs, and blueprint reading in a shop environment. Candidates with strong fabrication skills and experience producing high-quality welds are encouraged to apply. TIG Welder / Fabricator Responsibilities: - Perform TIG welding on a variety of metal materials and components - Fabricate, repair, and modify metal structures, equipment, and parts - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and specifications - Operate welding machines, cutting torches, grinders, and fabrication equipment - Measure, cut, fit, and assemble materials to required specifications - Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met - Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed - Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area - Communicate progress and project updates with supervisors and team members Requirements for TIG Welder / Fabricator: - Minimum of 2 years of welding and fabrication experience - TIG welding experience required - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings - Experience using welding, cutting, grinding, and metal fabrication equipment - Strong knowledge of welding methods, procedures, and safety practices - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - High school diploma or GED preferred - Valid driver's license preferred - Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb throughout the shift - Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds IND999 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
