Position Title: Mail Sorter
Wage: $16.50/hour QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Mail Sorter at a company in Elk Grove Village, IL. This is a potential to hire position. Apply now! Mail Sorter Responsibilities: - Receive incoming mail bins and sort mail into trays for processing - Review dates, addresses, barcodes, and postage information on outbound mail to ensure accuracy - Inspect mail for signs of tampering, damage, or suspicious contents - Sort and categorize mail manually and operate mail processing machines and postage meters - Prepare mail for distribution through proper categorization, labeling, and routing - Redirect mislabeled, undeliverable, or illegible mail for return processing - Scan packages for tracking purposes and maintain accurate mail database records - Ensure mail processing equipment and machinery are properly maintained and functioning effectively - Follow established safety, security, and confidentiality procedures when handling mail - Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient mail operations Requirements for Mail Sorter: - Ability to read, sort, and organize mail accurately and efficiently - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Basic computer skills for scanning, tracking, and data entry - Ability to operate mail processing equipment and postage machines - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods - Ability to lift and move mail bins, trays, and packages as required - Ability to work in a warehouse or mail processing environment IND133 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
