Engineering Work Order Review & Configuration Analyst

TheEngineering Work Order Review & Configuration Analystis responsible for reviewing and validating technical information submitted by the Commercial team to ensure specifications are accurate, complete, and achievable within established engineering and manufacturing processes.

This is afull-time, onsite positionworking during regular business hours, with some overtime required based on business and production needs. The primary location for this position isSolomon, KS; however,Sunbelt Solomon is open to candidates who reside at one of our service center facilities in Solomon, KS; Sharon, PA; or Decatur, TN.The successful candidate will work onsite at the service center location where they reside.

This position serves as a key technical resource between Commercial, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations, helping ensure work orders are properly configured, documented, and released for production. The role requires strong attention to detail, technical knowledge, and the ability to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact production or delivery.

• Review work orders flagged by theSalesforce configuratorfor all applicable locations, validating information and specifications submitted by Commercial partners.
• Verify that technical requirements, configurations, materials, and specifications are accurate, complete, and achievable within the applicable engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain detailed job files and updateSYSPROwith accurate shop instructions, technical information, and parts allocations.
• Prepare production binders, when required, including fabrication drawings, tank layouts, and other applicable technical documentation.
• Ensure job files, production books, and supporting documentation are complete, accurate, and properly archived.
• Collaborate withCommercial, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Operationsto communicate and resolve special requirements associated with individual orders.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for assigned areas, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to Commercial partners prior to order entry to help ensure product specifications and configurations are accurate.
• ReviewRequests for Quotation (RFQs)for specialty parts and coordinate with the Service Center Purchasing team regarding the sourcing, ordering, and stocking of required components.
• Performnameplate verificationto help ensure product information is accurate prior to production and delivery.
• Serve as a final quality-control checkpoint, when designated by leadership, to verify that products are manufactured and shipped according to approved specifications.
• Identify discrepancies, configuration issues, or missing technical information and work with the appropriate departments to resolve them before production.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation throughout the work order process.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to work order configuration, documentation, quality, and production readiness.
• Work onsite during regular business hours and provide overtime support as needed based on business requirements.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

• Associate degree required; relevant technical education or equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3-5 years of transformer manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience working with technical drawings, manufacturing specifications, work orders, or engineering documentation preferred.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, or electrical equipment environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of transformer manufacturing processes and technical specifications is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret and validate technical information, drawings, and specifications.
• Demonstrated ability in technical writing, proofreading, and editing.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and proactively resolve issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across Commercial, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations teams.
• Ability to manage multiple work orders and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate technical or production concerns.
