Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our branch while supporting company goals for profitability, customer service, and operational excellence.

This position leads and develops branch associates while working closely with sales, warehouse, purchasing, customer service, and management to ensure the business operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Lead, coach, train, and develop branch employees.

  
  
• 
  

  Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee development.

  
  
• 
  

  Build and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships.

  
  
• 
  

  Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.

  
  
• 
  

  Monitor branch performance, gross profit, margins, labor, and other KPIs.

  
  
• 
  

  Partner with the General Manager, Sales Manager, and Controller on budgeting and business planning.

  
  
• 
  

  Oversee daily branch operations, including sales orders, pricing, invoicing, and month-end processes.

  
  
• 
  

  Manage fuel and lubricant pricing, rebates, and customer-specific pricing.

  
  
• 
  

  Oversee purchasing and inventory management, including cycle counts and physical inventories.

  
  
• 
  

  Supervise warehouse and purchasing functions and ensure efficient inventory organization.

  
  
• 
  

  Identify operational trends and implement solutions to improve branch performance.

  
  
• 
  

  Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and operational best practices.

  
  
• 
  

  Communicate effectively across sales, warehouse, customer service, and administrative teams.

  
  
• 
  

  Support corporate initiatives, acquisitions, branch realignments, and satellite locations as needed.

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Previous leadership or operations management experience.

  Strong customer service and communication skills.

  Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.

  
  
• 
  

  Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  Comfortable working with numbers, budgets, and business performance metrics.

  Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.

  Strong judgment, decision-making, and time-management skills.

  Product, supplier, purchasing, or inventory experience is a plus.
