Director, Cable Products Segment

Your Job

Molex is seeking a dynamic and proactive Director of Cable Products Segment to increase revenue, profits, and market share and within the Cable Assembly segment, as part of the Molex Power and Signal Business Unit. The Director is responsible for managing and coaching a team of Group Product Managers, Business Development Managers and Product Managers, developing business plans, driving sales, and exceeding customer needs to reach the expected growth levels of the business. The Director will work closely with Molex sales and global manufacturing plants. Travel is required for this role (nationally and internationally).

What You Will Do

• As a senior leader, you will create and grow a culture of contribution motivated and talented team members leveraging key principles of PBM.
• Manage a global team of Business Development Managers and Product Managers to develop and implement strategic directions in support of the Cable Segment vision.
• Manage a global team of operation-based resources that assist the BDMs in project execution and costing.
• Works closely with Molex Sales Teams and customers directly to provide technical support of cable capabilities, training, joint account sales calls, lead generation, and key account follow up.
• Develops and implements strategic business plans to achieve key revenue, share, profit, and ROCC goals for assigned markets and key customers.
• Actively participates in the quote process, costing, and pricing analysis for justification of major programs.
• Drive cross functional engagement with internal business stakeholders such as global plant operations, manufacturing engineering, new product introduction, sourcing, and supply chain.
• Prepares reports and tracking documents relative to meeting performance goals, forecasting revenue and profit results.
• Serves as an expert in areas of technology, product needs, market segments, and business processes.
• As a member of the PSBU lead team, contribute and support PSBU strategic growth imperatives and key initiatives.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in a business or technical discipline such as engineering
• 5+ years' sales or marketing experience
• 5+ years' people management experience
• Ability to travel both nationally and internationally

What Will Put You Ahead

• 3+ years' experience product or project management experience
• Experience in Cable Assembly and related products
• Current or previous experience working in a cable assembly manufacturer

For this role, we anticipate paying $180,000 - $220,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
