Manufacturing Engineering Technician - 2nd Shift The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, improving, and validating production test equipment, programming systems, fixtures, and manufacturing processes. This position works closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Test Engineering to support production reliability, quality, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and implementation of approved technical solutions. Essential Responsibilities Serve as a liaison between Manufacturing and Test Engineering and internal or external engineering partners Evaluate and verify test fixture coverage Troubleshoot, validate, repair, and maintain test fixtures and programming equipment Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of production test equipment Manage known-good "gold" PCBAs used for production testing Maintain test software and program revisions and implement approved updates Troubleshoot manufacturing, equipment, fixture, software, and process issues Perform failure analysis, root-cause investigation, and corrective action Develop and maintain operating instructions and technical documentation Design, develop, source, evaluate, and improve manufacturing tools, fixtures, machinery, and equipment Analyze manufacturing test and programming processes for quality, cost, productivity, and efficiency Develop and recommend test and programming solutions that support quality and manufacturability Support continuous improvement and implementation of manufacturing projects Mentor and train manufacturing technicians Required Qualifications Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 3+ years of relevant electronics manufacturing or technical manufacturing experience Experience with PCBA manufacturing processes Experience troubleshooting electronic systems, manufacturing equipment, test equipment, or fixtures Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to organize and prioritize work in a manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with functional test, production programming, LabVIEW, failure analysis, root-cause analysis, DOE, FMEA, Gage R&R, DFT, IPC standards, ISO quality systems, calibration, test fixture validation, preventive maintenance, automation, controls, or manufacturing process improvement. Candidates do not need to be experts in every preferred area. We are interested in individuals with a strong technical foundation and relevant hands-on experience. Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 2:45 PM-12:45 AM Pay: $36.00-$40.00/hour Employment: Full-time, Hourly Non-Exempt Additional: Three-day weekends and $1,500 sign-on bonus AAI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
