Clinical Assistant Professor (Temporary)

The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry is now accepting applications for a temporary full-time, 12-month clinical track faculty position in the Division of Dental Hygiene. The School of Dentistry houses a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene program and a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene program, as well as a Master of Dental Therapy program. Responsibilities:

• Laboratory, pre-clinical and clinical instruction to dental hygiene, and dental therapy
• The dental, dental hygiene and dental therapy integrated curricula focus on a team-based delivery model that emphasizes community service and clinical enrichment in public health settings
• Additional responsibilities include committee assignments, research and service

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor degree in Dental Hygiene or a related field is required.
• The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program and be eligible for Minnesota licensure.
• The candidate must also have a minimum of two years clinical dental hygiene practice experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in dental hygiene, dental therapy, or a related field
• Minnesota restorative functions certificate
• Demonstrated leadership skills; didactic teaching experience, including oral pathology; demonstrated scholarship; and clinical experience teaching dental hygiene or dental students
• Minimum of three to five years clinical dental hygiene practice.

Pay Range: $72,000 - $75,000 annually; depending on education/qualifications/experience
