JOB SUMMARY Our lifeguards ensure the safety and well-being of Panorama residents using the aquatic facilities. In addition, as a Lead provides mentorship for other lifeguard staff, is a Certified Pool Operator and serves as the point of contact in the absence of the Aquatic and Fitness Coordinator. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure the safety of our residents by vigilantly scanning the water and pool deck areas, monitor resident activities and ensure safety rules. Identify safety issues and concerns and resolve as appropriate and/or escalate as needed. Perform necessary rescue actions and collaborate with emergency responders if necessary. Monitor and maintain water chemistry, circulation, filtration and chemical controllers in accordance with WAC 246-260. Conduct onboarding for new lifeguards, assist with training, skills refresher and emergency response drills. Lead emergency action plans and ensure readiness of all safety equipment. Partner with AFC Coordinator regarding maintenance, incident reports, scheduling or other department concerns. Provides professional, high level of customer service. Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as requested. Ensure all pool equipment is safe and maintained appropriately. Prepares and maintains appropriate reports. REQUIREMENTS Education: High school diploma/GED Current Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Standard First Aid. Certified Pool Operator in Washington State Experience: Experience as a lifeguard required
