Description Director (PE), Public Infrastructure, Baton Rouge, LA Halff is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Director to join our Public Infrastructure team in Baton Rouge, LA. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in delivering public infrastructure utilities, local infrastructure and/or transportation projects, an established network of clients, and knowledge of established practices in regional clients' rotation lists, on-calls and pre-qualification pools in Louisiana. What you will do: Lead and manage multiple teams of engineers and/or other professional/technical staff within their discipline, providing guidance, mentorship, and support Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and identify areas for improvement Implement and uphold rigorous quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet high-quality standards Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of projects within their discipline, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion Stay updated on the latest advancements in technologies and methodologies within the discipline and apply them to enhance project outcomes Collaborate with business development teams to prepare proposals, presentations, and proposals for potential projects Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and identify new business opportunities Develop and maintain a robust network of municipal clients and teaming partners Identify potential projects within the region and initiate implementation strategies for successful awarding of new design contracts Utilize a deep understanding of principles and best practices within the discipline, to guide project teams effectively Develop project scopes, professional services fee development, and staff projections Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to understand project requirements and deliverables Work in a collaborative team environment with multiple offices and various disciplines Oversee large scale, complex, multi-discipline projects Drive sales growth, coach strong financial project performance, and monitor other key metrics What you will need: Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree Professional Engineer (P.E.)
