Forklift Operator

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid forklift certification required or ability to provide current certification.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory tracking systems preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers, staging materials, and transporting products safely.
• Experience using RF scanning equipment and warehouse management systems.
• Background in high-volume warehouse operations required; food-grade facility experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of inventory accuracy, shipping, receiving, and warehouse safety practices.

• Forklift certification and proven safe operating history.
• Strong attention to detail when verifying product quantities, locations, and shipment accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with warehouse team members.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment with seasonal temperature fluctuations.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment for extended periods.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background requirements.

Job Duties

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently while following company and workplace safety standards.
• Load, unload, sort, stage, and transport products throughout the warehouse and distribution facility.
• Verify inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy, quantity, and product condition.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory and complete transactions.
• Move materials to designated storage, staging, shipping, and receiving locations.
• Conduct daily forklift and equipment inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Work closely with team members to support shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and food-grade handling requirements when applicable.
• Perform additional warehouse and material handling duties as assigned by management.
