Quality Assurance Associate

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills for data entry, inventory tracking, and inspection documentation.
• Ability to read work orders, receiving documents, and inspection specifications.

Experience Requirements

• Prior experience in receiving inspection, quality control, warehouse operations, inventory management, or material handling.
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other inspection equipment.
• Ability to identify product defects, nonconforming materials, and inventory discrepancies.
• Experience with computerized inventory, receiving, or quality management systems.
• Background in manufacturing, aerospace, medical device, or other regulated production environments preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when inspecting materials and entering data.
• Knowledge of quality assurance processes, nonconformance reporting, and inventory control practices.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and suppliers.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience performing cycle counts and inventory audits.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a warehouse or manufacturing environment for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required.
• Steel-toe shoes required.
• Ability to safely handle and transport materials using warehouse equipment and established procedures.

Job Duties

• Conduct incoming material receiving and receiving inspections to verify quality and compliance.
• Use computer systems to create, update, and maintain receiving, inspection, and inventory records.
• Inspect incoming materials using measuring tools and inspection equipment to ensure specifications are met.
• Identify, document, and report discrepancies, defects, and nonconforming materials.
• Create discrepant material reports and enter nonconformance data into company systems.
• Quarantine and track rejected materials according to quality procedures.
• Move, scan, sort, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Read and follow work orders, receiving instructions, and inventory transaction requirements.
• Communicate inspection results with internal departments and external suppliers.
• Perform cycle counts, inventory verification, and stock accuracy audits.
• Support warehouse, inventory, and quality assurance activities to ensure efficient material flow and production support.
