The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing customer orders in a fast-paced distribution environment. Duties include scanning barcodes, picking cases, labeling boxes, and palletizing completed orders by scanning, retrieving, and placing products onto pallets. Associates will use RF technology to process orders while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, verification, and proper shipment packaging.

The position may also include dock manifest responsibilities, such as scanning completed pallets and operating a shrink wrapper, as well as operating the ground/manual manifest station. Associates are expected to become knowledgeable in the responsibilities of other warehouse positions and assist as needed, including providing backup coverage during employee absences or vacations.

Job Duties

• Process customer orders including scanning bar codes, picking cases, and labeling boxes.
• Palletize orders including scanning, retrieving, and placing completed orders on pallets.
• Process orders using RF technology.
• Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
• May be responsible for dock manifest duties, which include scanning completed pallets and running the shrink wrapper.
• May be responsible for operating the ground/manual manifest station.
• Become knowledgeable of the responsibilities of the other warehouse positions.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Ability to safely perform warehouse duties including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately identify products, labels, and shipping documentation.
• Ability to use pallet jacks, hand trucks, RF scanners, or other warehouse equipment as required.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced warehouse environments.
• Commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and dependable attendance.
• Ability to obtain an electric pallet jack certification.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, distribution center, fulfillment, manufacturing, or logistics experience is preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory procedures, shipping software, or RF scanning equipment is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Distribution Associate.
• Experience with MHE, preferred.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive warehouse tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely work around warehouse equipment, conveyors, and moving inventory.
• Ability to maintain productivity while working in warehouse and distribution environments.
