Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computer data entry.
  • Ability to accurately maintain purchasing, receiving, and inventory records.
  • Experience with inventory management, ERP, or purchasing systems is a plus.


Experience Requirements



  • Experience in purchasing, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, MRO inventory, or a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience creating purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and coordinating with vendors.
  • Knowledge of receiving processes, inventory transactions, cycle counts, and material verification.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies between purchase orders, packing slips, and received materials.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Experience researching part numbers, manufacturers, specifications, and product data.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to learn purchasing, receiving, and inventory management processes.


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment, including warehouse, receiving, and inventory storage areas.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform inventory counts throughout the facility.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as needed.
  • Comfortable splitting time between computer-based administrative work and hands-on inventory activities.


Job Duties



  • Assist with creating, updating, and maintaining purchase orders based on approved purchasing requests.
  • Follow up with vendors regarding order status, delivery schedules, quotes, and backorders.
  • Receive materials, verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips, and enter receipts into the inventory system.
  • Identify, document, and help resolve receiving and inventory discrepancies.
  • Support the setup, organization, and ongoing maintenance of the MRO inventory system.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including quantities, locations, part numbers, descriptions, and Min/Max levels.
  • Process inventory transactions, add new items, and perform routine cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Research product information and specifications to support purchasing and inventory activities.
  • Organize purchasing, receiving, and inventory documentation while maintaining accurate records.
  • Support daily purchasing and inventory operations to ensure efficient material availability and business continuity.
