Academic Affairs, led by the Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, comprises the university's colleges, schools and libraries, along with other academic support and administrative units. The mission of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies is to provide educational experience which prepares graduates to enhance access to primary medical care, with the hope to increase care for the citizens of rural and medically-underserved Eastern North Carolina and beyond. |
| Primary Purpose of Position |
The Administrative Support Associate is integral to the daily operations and support functions for the Department of Physician Assistant Studies and manages several critical administrative and student facing workflows within the department. Reporting to the Chair of Physician Assistant Studies, the position works with students, admissions committee, and faculty. This position is responsible for front office management, executive calendar coordination, student record review, event planning, and departmental communications. This position will also evaluate application materials, manage records, coordinate interview activities, document admission decisions, and facilitate communication with applicants and the Graduate School. Additionally, the position will manage student records and registration, academic data and databases, testing processes, curriculum updates, accreditation reporting, faculty support, and student communications.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provides administrative, operational, and customer service support (40%)
- Manages admissions administration (40%)
- Coordinates program operations and supports didactic faculty (20%)
