Senior Application Engineer (MicroE)

The position can be remote. This individual can work anywhere in North America.

As an Sr. Applications Engineer, you'll be the first technical point of contact for our clients, partnering with Sales and Process Engineering to develop innovative water treatment solutions for complex, mission-critical applications. You'll own the complete proposal lifecycle-from lead qualification through system design, costing, and contract handover-while collaborating across global teams and time zones.

What You'll Do

Design & Engineering

• Leverage expertise in mass transfer, fluid dynamics, and inorganicchemistryto design custom ultrapurewater(UPW) systems
• Work across a diverse equipment portfolio including ultrafiltration,reverse osmosis, UV destruction, electrodeionization, and ion exchange technologies
• Develop process flow diagrams, mass balances, equipment selections, and system layouts with Process Engineering

Proposal Leadership

• Own proposal schedules and coordinate resources across engineering teams
• Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships throughout the proposal cycle
• Evaluate technical specifications, manage scope changes, and ensure on-time delivery
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, etc.) to develop comprehensive proposal packages

Client Engagement

• Create compelling proposal documents that showcase Veolia's superior process designs and integrated solutions
• SupportSaleswith technical consultations and customer presentations
• Translate complex engineering into clear client communication.

Required

• Bachelor's degree inChemical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a substantially similar engineering field
• 7+ years of experience in industrial process design,membranetechnologies, purification, or a related field
• Strong foundation in mass transfer, fluid dynamics, and inorganicchemistry
• Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in a global, fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• Professional Engineer's License (PE) or ability to obtain one within 1 year
• Direct experience withwater treatmentsystems and industrial operations
• Familiarity with ultrapurewateror semiconductor manufacturing applications.
