In this position your primary role will be working with the payroll team to process weekly payrolls for 9000 employees, in multiple companies and multiple states while providing excellent customer service to our employees and customers. In addition you will assist the payroll team with other weekly tasks to include employee changes, tax filings and issues, garnishment processing, certified payroll and other tasks as needed.

Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:

• Accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll for 9000 employees
• Investigate and resolve tax notices, penalties, and questionnaire requests.
• Assist with the timely deposits and filings for federal, state and local tax liabilities for all jurisdictions
• Assist with filing quarterly and annual unemployment taxes.
• Assist with completing monthly, quarterly and annual tax reconciliations as appropriate to ensure accurate filings
• Perform quarterly W-2 reconciliations and processes corrections as required.
• Weekly processing of garnishments, child support, tax liens and other wage attachments
• Certified Payroll checking and submittal in various applications
• Work closely with Finance and IT to enhance the current operations and automation capabilities of the Payroll Department
• Other tasks as needed

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Business related field preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree and up to 0+ Years of progressive experience the following or
  • Associates Degree and 4+ Years of progressive experience the following or
• Knowledge of multi-state, multi-entity (FEIN) in-house payroll processing
• Knowledge of best practices and standard procedures for federal, multi-state and local tax reporting
• Knowledge of FLSA, employment laws and tax laws and regulations
• Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
• Strong MS Excel and Word
• Excellent customer service skills

Desired / Advantageous Qualifications

• Understanding of Davis Bacon and Service Contract Act
• Knowledge of International Payroll
• Garnishment, liens, child support and other wage attachment setup and processing
• Certified Payroll Professional Certification (CPP)
