The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:

As Planner/Scheduler, you will coordinate the flow of work and materials across multiple manufacturing value streams. You will create and maintain the master production schedule, release and monitor work orders, identify capacity and material constraints, communicate schedule changes, and support the team in meeting customer delivery commitments. You will also maintain reliable planning data and performance reporting and participate in continuous-improvement work that strengthens flow, reduces waste, and improves execution.

This role works closely with Production, Customer Service, Purchasing, Engineering, Warehouse, and Supply Chain partners and reports to the Director of Operations.

What You'll Do at Justrite:

Production Planning & Scheduling

• Maintain the master schedule for multiple manufacturing lines/value streams to support daily production goals and customer delivery requirements.

• Translate demand, customer-specific requirements, due dates, available capacity, material readiness, and overtime considerations into an executable schedule.

• Release and sequence production orders in a timely manner; manage printing and placement of work orders and job-specific work instructions on the production floor.

• Create job orders in the ERP system as needed and maintain accurate order status throughout execution.

• Update schedules for new orders, shortages, downtime, priority changes, and other unplanned events; communicate changes promptly to production leadership and affected functions.

Execution, Constraints & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Monitor work in process and manufacturing status; identify at-risk orders early and initiate or coordinate recovery actions.

• Identify capacity, labor, material, and resource constraints and adjust schedules in partnership with operations to protect customer commitments.

• Serve as a day-to-day planning liaison among Customer Service, Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse, and other internal partners on schedule, material, method, and design issues.

• Attend daily manufacturing meetings and provide concise, fact-based updates on plan attainment, risks, constraints, and required decisions.

Inventory, ERP & Data Discipline

• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, research, and corrections; assist Purchasing in maintaining appropriate inventory levels, safety stock, and inventory turns.
• Maintain timely and accurate ERP transactions related to work orders, scheduling, inventory, and job status.
• Support annual physical inventory and related reconciliation activities.
• Performance Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Produce the daily open-order report and on-time-delivery (OTD) metrics; update Gemba boards before the daily team meeting.
• Support OEE data entry and established operating reports.
• Work with production management and teams to identify execution gaps and opportunities to improve schedule attainment, flow, lead time, and waste.
• Partner with the Master Planner on continuous-improvement initiatives and complete assigned production or warehouse projects.
• Safety, Quality & Compliance
• Follow all company policies, safety requirements, and applicable quality-system procedures.
• Support ISO 9001 or equivalent quality-management practices as applicable to planning, scheduling, inventory, and production documentation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned based on business needs.

Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:

• 3-5 years of experience in production planning/scheduling, inventory control, internal expediting, or related manufacturing operations.

• Working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel capability.

• Ability to coordinate multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor Degree in related field

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality-management system or equivalent.

• Experience using production, inventory, OTD, schedule-attainment, or OEE data to drive operating decisions and improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field of study

Compensation:

Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
