Summary:

  • The Supply Chain Optimization Lead, Licensed Supply Chain will lead end-to-end supply chain readiness and performance management for the Licensed Coffeehouse business.
  • This role will connect demand, supply, inventory, distribution, ordering, and field execution to improve product availability and ensure coffeehouses are positioned to successfully support promotional launches and ongoing business needs.
  • The role will serve as a central integrator across Licensed Coffeehouse, Demand and Supply Planning, Distribution, Logistics, Finance, Technology, S&OP and other cross-functional teams.
  • It will translate fragmented operational data into actionable insights, proactively identify supply and execution risks, drive root-cause resolution, and develop scalable processes and reporting that improve visibility and decision-making.

Key projects:

  • Licensed Supply Chain - Product Availability.

Responsibilities :

Promo & Launch Readiness:

  • Own an end-to-end readiness framework for seasonal promotions, LTOs/VLTOs, and other critical launches.
  • Regularly evaluate and update readiness assessments against intended launch dates, communicate changes in risks and progress, and coordinate follow-up on outstanding gaps.
  • Monitor coffeehouse ordering, shipment confirmation, cancellations, and fulfillment status to identify launch risks before they affect product availability.
  • Develop clear measures for order coverage, shipment readiness, and coffeehouses requiring intervention.
  • Establish appropriate order-by dates and risk windows using launch dates, delivery frequency, and distribution lead times.
  • Partner with business and field teams to enable targeted follow-up for locations requiring action.

Product Availability & D86 Improvement:

  • Partner with Licensed Coffeehouse and GSC teams to identify and address the drivers of product unavailability and D86.
  • Analyze store-, item-, and distribution-level performance to distinguish inventory constraints from ordering, distribution, and execution issues.
  • Identify targeted interventions such as ordering follow-up, allocation or segmentation changes, emergency-order support, and other recovery actions.
  • Develop leading indicators that allow teams to move from reactive issue management toward proactive prevention.

Supply, Inventory & Allocation Optimization:

  • Evaluate inventory availability and allocation across Licensed Coffeehouse fulfillment models, including CDC and dropship.
  • Investigate disconnects between demand plans, customer allocations, orders, and available supply.
  • Quantify impacts by customer/licensee and develop recommendations for constrained-supply allocation.
  • Partner with Demand and Supply Planning to evaluate incremental production or procurement opportunities and associated tradeoffs.

Distribution & Fulfillment Performance:

  • Develop visibility to delivery-frequency utilization and broader distribution performance.
  • Identify recurring fulfillment, transportation, and distribution issues contributing to product availability gaps.
  • Partner across GSC, third-party distribution, and Licensed Coffeehouse teams to clarify root causes, ownership, and recovery paths.
  • Establish more consistent metrics and review mechanisms for distribution performance.

S&OP & Cross-Functional Planning:

  • Lead S&OP integration for Licensed Coffeehouses, connecting business priorities with demand, supply, inventory, and distribution plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resolution of supply, allocation, ordering, and fulfillment risks.
  • Translate complex operational issues into clear recommendations, tradeoffs, and decisions for business and supply-chain leaders.
  • Establish ownership, escalation paths, and follow-up mechanisms for key supply-chain issues.

Analytics, Reporting & Tools:

  • Build and maintain analytical tools and operational promo readiness monitoring tools that integrate order, shipment, inventory, store, and distribution data.
  • Create scalable reporting that identifies exceptions and prioritizes the locations, products, and issues requiring action.
  • Improve underlying data definitions, store populations, and reporting logic to increase confidence in operational metrics.
  • Translate analysis into clear executive-level insights and recommendations.

Operating Model & Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify structural gaps in Licensed Coffeehouse supply-chain processes and develop scalable solutions rather than relying on recurring manual intervention.
  • Define clearer processes, ownership, and governance across ordering, allocation, segmentation, launch readiness, and exception management.
  • Apply learnings from supply disruptions and launches to improve future planning cycles.
  • Support development of standardized S&OP processes, reporting, and documentation for the Licensed Coffeehouse business.
