This position is eligible for a hybrid Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) (on-campus and remote work). FWA arrangements are subject to manager approval and may shift due to changes in business needs. Purpose

The Curriculum Sales Specialist will sell Engineer Your World (EYW), a high school curriculum and teacher support program developed by the Cockrell School of Engineering, to schools and school districts throughout the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Develops and executes annual school recruitment and sales plans. Researches, identifies, and contacts prospective schools. Describes and promotes the EYW program to audiences in a variety of settings, including online information sessions, in-person information sessions, and conference exhibits and presentations. Secures and conducts sales meetings with school and district representatives. Tracks, prioritizes, and follows up with leads. Ensures completion of the sales cycle. Meets ambitious annual sales goals

  • Effectively utilizes Salesforce CRM to document and track work and to meet sales goals

  • Prepares sales reports to include analyses of progress toward goals, market trends, prospect reports, and recommendations

  • Collaborates with team members to identify sales goals, objectives, and strategies

  • Works closely with team members to ensure the delivery of services

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of relevant experience. Demonstrated success in executing a sales or recruitment cycle from inception to completion. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of CRM software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. High level of professionalism with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service and relationship management skills. Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp a new product or service, its target market, and its competition. Ability to manage a long sales cycle and meet challenging sales goals. Ability to present audience-appropriate information clearly, concisely and in alignment with strategic objectives. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and to prioritize work appropriately to meet sales goals. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team within a dynamic environment and with overlapping projects. Ability to travel, sometimes frequently, and work occasional evenings and weekends.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling educational products or services in the K-12 sector, particularly at the high school level. Demonstrated understanding of the K-12 market for curriculum and teacher professional development programs. Knowledge of engineering and engineering education. Knowledge of project- and problem-based teaching and learning. Experience with Salesforce CRM software. Professional experience in higher education.

Salary Range

$50,000 + depending on qualifications
