Overview:

Sentara Health is currently seeking a Plumber/Steampipe Fitter at our Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

Hours/Shift: Full-Time-40 hrs per week, Rotating Shift, on-call required.

Position Summary:

  • The Plumber/Steampipe Fitter is responsible for inspecting and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures related to the heating, water, gas and drainage systems.
  • This individual will also be responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of medical air and suction systems, medical gasses to include the distribution, piping, and terminal connections in addition to being responsible for maintenance and repair of heating and cooling hydronic systems.

Job Requirements:

  • Required: High School Grad or Equivalent
  • Required:Journeyman Plumbing licensure (must obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • Required:Driver's license
  • Required: 4 years of relevant experience OR 240 hours of vocational training in related field.
