The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and outgoing with a strong passion for snow sports instruction and snow sports culture. Position runs from November to April. Full-time and part-time seasonal opportunities available. Pay range of $21.50 - $28.00 per hour, based on certification level. ESSENTIAL DUTIES To teach skiing or snowboarding from beginner to expert Provide a safe learning environment for students Attend & lead clinics for instructors Ability to teach a variety of lessons types Assist in preparation of learning areas Learn the lift procedures for junior participants Assist with Junior School registration and checkout processes Assist with Junior School lunchtime duties Help with creation of training programs Light construction EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Education: High School diploma preferred but not required Certifications: Level 1, 2, or 3 PSIA/ AASI certification or equivalent Experience: High intermediate or advanced skiing/riding skills, previous teaching experiences a plus QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 years of age Teaching experience Advanced skiing/snowboarding skills Superior customer service skills Outgoing, with excellent communication skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS This position requires working weekends and holidays.
