Reporting to the Business Unit Manager and Facilities, the Maintenance Mechanic Technician provides support to the site to ensure that all site building facilities and equipment/ machines are running smoothly. This is a critical role that interacts with a diverse set of priorities to deliver resolutions to ongoing needs. You will interact with internal and external customers across multiple areas, such as equipment and machines on the manufacturing floor. At Parker, you will cultivate a strong culture by participating in High Performance Teams and operating in LEAN manufacturing.

  • Perform daily building maintenance as required; interact with internal and external parties to complete task priorities.
  • Maintain inventory of materials and goods for equipment, machines, and systems to initiate purchase orders as needed for repairs. May interact with outside vendors to support repairs.
  • Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting & repairs of equipment machine issues involving electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic (pumps, valves, solenoids) and mechanical (hoses, fittings) systems.
  • Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting & repairs of ancillary equipment issues including robots, assembly cells, compression molding & injection molding pressions, and extruders.
  • Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting & repairs of related issues involving, process water (cooling towers, storage, chillers, treatment, PVC/Iron piping), compressed air, wiring/power distribution, HVAC.
  • Complete record keeping and documentation accurately for compliance and safety standards.
  • Work cross functionally to support company LEAN and High Performance team objectives and initiatives to promote company culture.
  • Use appropriate PPE for designated areas with safety and security at the forefront.
  • U.S. Citizenship or have U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
  • GED or High School Diploma required. Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • 2+ years' related experience or education/ training or combination required. Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, basic electrical, and PLC logic is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team with internal and external parties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform basic math, reading, writing and computer skills such as basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and use of Microsoft Office.
  • Must demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written English. communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, work across different weather and building conditions, and use ladders, power tools, and other materials. Ability to lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
