We are looking for a trade show engineering technician to join our global marketing team in Palo Alto, California for global trade shows, leadership touchpoints, product launches, and demo's. This unique role requires a person who thrives in a fast paced, global environment to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be looking for global travel experiences, have technical knowledge/experience, and enjoy working with technical and non-technical people alike. This role calls for support both onsite and off-site, requiring the successful candidate to reside in Palo Alto.
  • Supports department engineering team on projects that consist of design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment.
  • Applications may include analog, digital and/or video circuits, and logic systems.
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
  • Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
  • Assemble emulator packages (hardware) as required for the use of showcase products at tradeshows.
  • Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
  • Work on site at HQ in Palo Alto to prepare hardware devices for upcoming major demo trade shows/workshops.
  • Assist in the setup and packaging of exhibit materials.
  • Attend trade shows / conferences, set up the devices (computers, machines) and all sales, marketing systems. Provide technical support to leadership team, sales team, and marketing team during events.
  • Attend no less than 5 tradeshows in person each year.

Requirements:

  • Location: SF Bay Area (required)
  • Global travel for work (estimated at 25%- required)
  • Ability to sit, stand, squat, bend, lift, push and/or pull up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to climb and work from an elevated position or on a ladder
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels within the organization.
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiar with business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Degree or equivalent. 2 - 3 years of related experience.

The base pay range for this position is

Min $47,800 - Max $81,200

The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
