Overview Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Lutheran UnityPoint Health Des Moines Shift: Full-time Nights 7p-7a Full-time Days 7a-7p Full-time WEP Days/Evenings 11a-11p Part Time Days 7a-7p Shift differentials available for qualifying shifts Benefits Eligible Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 paid over 2 years Providing fast-paced care to patients experiencing emergent illness, injury, and acute care illness for children and adults, specializing in behavioral health care. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or IA Board of Nursing approved nursing program. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Qualifications: Current active Iowa License to practice as a RN. Minimum of six months RN experience. Prefer 2 years of hospital clinical experience, with at least 1 year of Emergency Department experience. . Prefer Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) ACLS and TNCC must be completed within 1 year of hire. For ILH and MWH Emergency Departments, PALS or ENPC must also be completed within 1 year of hire. Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) Department of Labor Level III (Medium) Work. Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment strength and agility test at Medium Level of Work. ***PLEASE NOTE: All newly licensed RNs with less than six months of RN experience and who are interested in this department or any other Acute RN role within UnityPoint Health - Des Moines, are encouraged and required to participate in the RN Residency program. Newly licensed nurses must apply for the Registered Nurse Residency position.
