Senior Program Manager LOCATION: White Sands, New Mexico JOB STATUS: Full-time CLEARANCE: Top Secret (Active/Eligible) CERTIFICATION: PMP (preferred) TRAVEL: Estimated Up to 20% Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager to support the Army Division on the WSMR Mission Support Services program. This individual will serve as the primary company liaison with the Government, responsible for all contract performance, financial obligations, and the coordination of project activities and personnel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
U.S. Citizen with an active or able-to-obtain Top Secret clearance in accordance with DoD regulations Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; advanced degree preferred Minimum ten (10) years of demonstrated engineering and management experience on contracts or projects of similar complexity and scope Leadership on at least three (3) large projects or programs involving civil, mechanical, computer, electrical, and electronics engineering disciplines Proven track record in cost control, planning, scheduling, reporting, and managing multidisciplinary teams Experience reviewing and approving work of project managers, engineers, administrative and contract personnel Minimum two (2) years of experience, demonstrated knowledge, or education in the DoD contracting process Minimum two (2) years of experience, demonstrated knowledge, or education in the DoD acquisition process specific to the test career field Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with documented supervisory experience Well-organized, energetic, and results-driven team player with strong decision-making abilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- PMP or equivalent project/program management certification
- Strong customer relationship management and strategic planning experience
- Lean Six Sigma certification and/or Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) training preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary point of contact with Government stakeholders, authorized to act on behalf of the company for all contractual and financial matters
- Organize, plan, schedule, and control all engineering and support services required by the contract
- Provide overall management oversight of contract operations including cost, schedule, staffing, and quality performance
- Supervise all contractor personnel and manage day-to-day activities of the program
- Ensure successful execution of work requirements through effective resource allocation and leadership
- Review and approve all technical and administrative work products
- Track performance metrics, produce reports, and ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and responsiveness
- Lead risk management, budget control, and long-term planning initiatives to support contract success
- Maintain compliance with all DoD acquisition, test and evaluation, and contracting regulations and processes
